Mostra di Ulderico Fioretti - Holy Expo
Venerdì 14 settembre 2018 presso Fratò Bakery Caffè di Sant’Omero (TE) si svolgerà una mostra personale dell’illustratore e fumettista Ulderico Fioretti, incentrata sulla sua ultima opera per la Heroic Publishing di Los Angeles. Dennis Mallonee, direttore della casa editrice, dichiara: “è stato un grande piacere lavorare con lo straordinario talento di Ulderico: la sua capacità compositiva e la sua abilità nel narrare storie meravigliose attraverso il fumetto lo pongono ai vertici della nona arte.”
Saranno esposte le tavole originali e illustrazioni della graphic novel JAY-NA: NUMBELAN, fantasy ambientato nella giungla africana, ispirato alle antiche leggende senegalesi. L’evento è organizzato da Luca Torzolini, direttore della galleria Holy Expo, che presenterà il lavoro dell’artista tramite un intervento poetico dedicato al fumetto. L’atmosfera rapsodica della serata sarà corroborata dalle musiche oniriche di Antonio Feriozzi.
Ulderico sarà presente alla mostra per firmare le copie limitate e certificate di un’illustrazione realizzata apposta per l’evento e spiegherà ai curiosi la genesi dell’opera, ricordando che “Il Cacciatore è l’allegoria del disastro che l’uomo compie ogni giorno nei confronti del pianeta, degli animali e degli uomini stessi. JAY-NA: NUMBELAN è una storia fortemente ecologista”.
Dalla clamorosa collaborazione fra la Heroic Publishing e la casa editrice Holy Edit, sarà possibile trovare in esclusiva un’edizione speciale della graphic novel, primo fumetto della storica casa editrice californiana pubblicato in Europa. Torzolini afferma che “È davvero stimolante vedere come la creazione di ponti culturali attraverso le opere d’arte possa unire Italia e America nella narrazione di leggende legate ad un popolo e ad una cultura, distante e al contempo affascinante, come quella africana”.

Numbelan, il leggendario regno degli animali, è sul punto di scomparire per mano del terribile Cacciatore. La bramosia per l’immortalità è lo scopo che lo spinge a inseguire un’antica leggenda secondo la quale il sangue di queste fantastiche creature permette di avere poteri enormi e di vivere in eterno.
Ora, rimangono solo due magiche bestie: l’enorme re leone Gayde e la sua regina Jay-Na, aiutati dalla bellissima sciamana Zoraya e dal suo fido discepolo Basu.
Le fazioni sono in guerra e tutto è incerto, poiché le depredazioni del Cacciatore hanno spalancato la porta dell’oblio e il Re del Caos è risorto.

CULT DAY 2017
L’evento regalerà al pubblico un ricco e vasto programma culturale: un’esposizione collettiva di dipinti, illustrazioni e fotografie, con artisti tra cui Denis Bachetti, Ulderico Fioretti, Alessandro Scacchia e Manuel Norcini. Vi sarà inoltre la presentazione al pubblico in anteprima assoluta del libro "Libero Teatro In Libero Stato" di FLAVIO SCIOLE' (in uscita ad Ottobre per la Holy Edit, raccoglie opere teatrali dell’autore scritte/portate in scena dal 1993 al 2008, prefazione di Graziano Graziani) e della graphic novel “Picasso a fumetti” di Giancarlo Bucci con prefazione di Paloma Picasso (figlia di Pablo Picasso). Grande spazio sarà dato alla musica. Tra le presenze: le case discografiche Intemporanea e Zingaroton (con presentazione dell’ultima opera del piano artist Mario Mariani) e la casa discografica KutMusic (storica etichetta che si occupa prevalentemente di musica elettronica).
Presenzieranno all’evento autori cinematografici che proietteranno short movies realizzati nella fortezza di Civitella e in altre location del Val Vibrata.
L’associazione culturale non lucrativa “Genau”, organizza La manifestazione “Cult Day” che si inserisce all’interno della “Giornata del Contemporaneo”, evento che, dal 2005, AMACI (associazione musei d’arte contemporanea italiani, www.amaci.org) dedica all’arte contemporanea e al suo pubblico. Ogni anno, il primo o il secondo sabato di ottobre i musei associati ad AMACI, accanto a tutte le istituzioni del nostro Paese che liberamente decidono di aderire all’iniziativa, aprono gratuitamente le loro porte per un’iniziativa ricca di eventi, mostre, conferenze e laboratori. Un programma multiforme che regala l’imperdibile occasione di vivere da vicino la vivacità e la ricchezza dell’arte di oggi.
